How Does CBD Work?
CBD, also known as Cannabidiol, is one of the many natural chemical compounds (Cannabinoids) found within the cannabis plant. CBD and other cannabinoids bind to the Cannabinoid Receptors in our brain to produce varying effects.
Unlike its more well-known cousin, THC, CBD is known and accepted to be non-psychoactive. CBD has been shown to be effective in addressing various issues, including pain and anxiety.
Our CBD oil is offered in a Broad-Spectrum format and our third-party lab testing shows little to no THC in our product.

How CBD Oil Affects Chronic Pain and Inflammation

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a natural modulatory system found within our bodies. The ECS system is active within all of us, regardless if a person uses Cannabis or not. Our body naturally creates endocannabinoids to regulate our mood, diet, and sleep. Cannabinoids that are found within the hemp plant can also bind to the same receptors our bodies cannabinoids would. The two major receptors on our cells are simply known as CB1 and CB2.
We are learning new things every day regarding this recently discovered system within us. Overall, this system is known to promote homeostasis within our bodies. This is a fancy word for balance.
Our body only kicks in the ECS system when it needs to balance itself. Like any system within our complex bodies, sometimes things can go wrong and the system has a hard time regulating itself. CBD, as a cannabinoid, can jumpstart that process when our body is incapable of doing it by itself.
New research shows that CBD does not directly bind to the ECS receptors. Instead, it seems to boost production of our bodies natural endocannibanoids.
